Council recently adopted a resolution accepting a Drinking Water State Revolving Funds (DWSRF) Grant in the Amount of $4,939,000.
This project involves installing a new well, replacing four undersized storage tanks with two new tanks to increase storage capacity by about 700,000 gallons, improvements to the Outsen booster pump station, installation of approximately 2600 feet of water main, and electrical/SCADA improvements at the City water treatment plant.
City Engineer PACE Engineering has estimated the full construction project, including additional design and administration services, to cost approximately $5,220,000. The estimated cost of the full construction project exceeds the grant by approximately $280,000, which would be City match paid for by Water Reserves.
