The upcoming Main Street Water System Improvements Project will start on the north end of town near Casa Ramos and head south.
This project involves relocating and upgrading approximately 11,000 feet of water main and 4,000 feet of water laterals within the Main Street right-of-way. It will also relocate over a hundred new water meters, new meter boxes, and a water sampling station.
A $3.5M Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for construction has been executed to help fund the project. Council approved the City application for the grant in February 2020 and committed to providing necessary match funds from the Water Enterprise fund.
