NOTICE INVITING SEALED BIDS

FOR

Rebid - North Yreka Creek Trail Project

Notice is hereby given that the City Clerk of the City of Yreka will receive sealed Bids at 701 Fourth Street, Yreka, CA  96097 for the North Yreka Creek Trail Project.  The Project consists of performing the following, including, but not limited to:

Construction of new park and trail improvements at two locations.  Work includes grading, excavation, paving and construction of appurtenances to establish curb & gutter, driveway approaches, construct parking lot and restroom, construct trails, install irrigation systems and planting as identified in the plans and specifications

The Project Construction Budget, including the agency’s costs of testing, inspection, and administration, is estimated to be $1,004,000.00 dollars. 

Bidders are to be licensed in accordance with the provisions of the “Contractor’s License Law”, Chapter 9 of Division 3 of the State Business and Professions Code.  In addition, Bidder must have at the time the contract is awarded for this project, the following classification of contractor’s license: California Class A General Engineering or C-12 Earthwork and Paving.

Copies of the Plans and Specifications are available for a non-refundable fee of $75.00, including tax.  If you wish these documents to be sent to you, add $15.00 for the cost of postage and handling or provide a Federal Express or UPS Shipper number.  The City retains no responsibility for plans lost, damaged, or destroyed in the mailing process.  Checks shall be made payable to the City of Yreka.

Plan holders who obtained plans and contract documents for bids opened on June 10, 2013 are advised that changes to the bid documents are made in “Addendum Number 1 – REBID – North Yreka Creek Trail Project”.  Plan holders who have the original plans and bid documents shall re-register their interest as a plan holder and obtain the current addendum for free, either directly with the City or by registering for this project at www.CIPlist.com.   Plan holders must provide a facsimile telephone number or a valid email address in order that additional addenda or other information may be transmitted as rapidly as possible.

There will not be a Pre-Bid Conference for this project. 

Contractor’s Bid Proposals shall be submitted in person or by mail to the City Clerk, City of Yreka, 701 Fourth Street, Yreka, CA  96097 prior to the appointed Bid opening time of 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 , after which they shall be publicly opened and read aloud.  Each Bidder must submit their proposal addressed to the City of Yreka in a SEALED envelope labeled:

Proposal for:    REBID -North Yreka Creek Trail Project

            Bid Opening:   April 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.

The Bid Proposal shall conform to the form and content required in these Specifications and shall be accompanied by such proposal bonds, certification of Bidder’s experience and qualifications, and listing of subcontractors, and affidavits as are provided in the Contract Documents section of these Specifications. .   No oral, telegraphic, electronic, facsimile or telephone bids or modifications will be considered.  Bids received after scheduled bid opening time will be returned unopened.
