Senior Meals - Madrone Senior Services
Dining Center Meals
Dining Center Meals are served Monday-Friday, 12:00PM - 1:00PM at the Yreka Community Center, 810 N. Oregon Street. This schedule is effective June 29, 2009 and will be provided by Madrone Hospice. Meals served meet one-third of the Recommended Daily Allowance and are prepared on-site with an emphasis on variety, quality, and desirability. Diabetic meals are also available upon request.
Meals are free to those 60 years of age and older; however, the suggested contribution of $3.00 is greatly appreciated and assists in assuring the continuation of quality services. All contributions are private.
No senior will ever be refused service because of inability or willingness to make a contribution for their meal.
Dining Center meals are also available for non-seniors for a fee of $4.00. Dining Center meals provide not only a healthy and tasty meal, but also an opportunity for conversation and socialization.
Home Delivered Meals
The Home-Delivered meal program is central to the Senior Program's goal of preserving the health, independence, and dignity of older adults. Home-Delivered meals are provided Monday-Friday.
Home-Delivered meals are available to all seniors who have been certified home bound by their private physician. This program is targeted to frail, isolated seniors and their spouses/caregivers. Meals may be arranged by telephoning the Senior Program at (530) 841-2365. As with all senior programs, there is no fee for services. The suggested contribution for Home-Delivered meals is $3.00 per meal.
