Where do tax dollars go?
This very important question is the heart of the finance department. The finance department is responsible for keeping track of tax dollars coming into and going out of City accounts. The department is in charge of financial reporting, budget preparation and implementation, payroll and other related assignments. The department is also responsible for compiling the budget reports for each fiscal year which detail how tax dollars were used by the City.
