Development Impact Fees Increase October 6, 2021

dif

Effective October 06, 2021, Residential and Commercial Impact Fees will be increasing to 75% of the Total Base Fees per Resolution No. 2021-12.

An impact fee is a fee that is imposed by the City of Yreka on a new or proposed development project to pay for all or a portion of the costs of providing public services to the new development. This means that developers cover the cost of new infrastructure, rather than the taxpayers already living there.

Without development impact fees, the City may not have the revenue necessary to accommodate growth.
